Frequently Asked Questions

  • All payments are processed securely through Jane Payments using credit card or by e-transfer. A valid credit card must be added to your secure Jane profile when booking your first psychotherapy session.


    Receipts are provided after each session and can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • Yes! Many extended health benefit plans providers will pay a portion or all of your visit fee for services offered by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

  • Yes! Please scroll down and take a look below to see if your extended health insurance provider is available for direct billing.

  • To respect the time and care dedicated to each session, at least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged the full session fee.

    Your appointment time is reserved just for you.

Direct Billing Insurers

  • I am able to direct bill to Manulife through Telus Health. Please provide me with your policy number.

  • I am able to direct bill to Canada Life through Telus Health. Please provide me with your policy number.

  • I am able to direct bill to Pacific Blue Cross. Please provide me with your policy number.

  • Please provide all claim details to me at time of booking. If your policy number ends in -01 or -02, please provide the policy holder’s number ending in -00, as this is required for invoice submissions. In order to set up your first appointment, you will be requested to provide:

    • Your policy number

    • Your policy maximum (usually $500, $1,000, or $2,000)

    • Details about any co-payments (e.g., whether 80% or 90% of each session is covered, or if each session is fully covered).

    • Address

    • Birthdate
